Register for Making Sense of Fractions in Grades 3-5

Wednesdays: October 11, 25, and November 1, 15
5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the RUSMP classroom, 5615 Kirby Drive, Suite 300

This course is designed to support teachers of grades 3-5 as they develop students’ understanding of fractions. Teachers will explore concepts and procedures related to fractions. Concepts are aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.

• Emphasis on vertical alignment of fraction concepts

• Use of manipulatives to explore fraction concepts and operations

• Problem-solving strategies

• Assessment strategies

Each teacher will receive course materials and professional development credit.

Enrollment is limited.

The fee for this course is $400. An invoice for this amount will be sent to your school. Payment must be made prior to the first class meeting.

Please note that registrations are considered final. No refunds will be issued, only replacements.
