Register for Developing Number Fluency in Grades 1-3

Mondays: October 9, 16, 23, and 30
5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the RUSMP classroom, 5615 Kirby Drive, Suite 300

This course is designed to support teachers of grades 1-3 as they develop students’ understanding of the base ten structure of the number system and conceptual and procedural understanding of operations with whole numbers. Concepts are aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.

• Emphasis on vertical alignment of concepts

• Use of manipulatives to explore number concepts and operations

• Development of mental strategies and algorithms to perform operations

• Problem-solving strategies

• Assessment strategies

Each teacher will receive course materials and professional development credit.

Enrollment is limited.

The fee for this course is $400. An invoice for this amount will be sent to your school. Payment must be made prior to the first class meeting.

Please note that registrations are considered final. No refunds will be issued, only replacements.
