Register for Developing Algebraic Thinking in Grades 3-5

This course is designed for teachers of Grades 3-5 who are seeking to strengthen their students’ understanding of algebraic concepts. The primary focus of the course is developing algebraic thinking with an emphasis on mathematical processes. Concepts are aligned with the TEKS and the STAAR.

• Algebraic thinking and symbolic reasoning

• Number theory through patterns

• Tools for problem solving

• Underpinnings of algebraic thinking

• Use of manipulatives and technology to explore concepts

Each teacher will receive course materials and professional development and gifted education hours.

Enrollment is limited.

The fee for this course is $1000. An invoice for this amount will be sent to your school. Payment must be made prior to the first class meeting.
