Register for Developing Algebraic Thinking Across Middle School and High School

Summer, 2017

July 24 - 27 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
RUSMP classroom (5615 Kirby Drive, Suite 300)

This course is designed to support middle and high school mathematics teachers as they develop students’ understanding of the important algebraic concepts taught in Grades 6-12. Concepts are aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.

• Emphasis on vertical alignment of algebraic concepts

• Use of manipulatives and technology to explore algebraic concepts

• Problem-solving strategies

• Assessment strategies

Each teacher will receive course materials and professional development and gifted education hours.

Enrollment is limited.

The fee for this course is $1000. An invoice for this amount will be sent to your school. Payment must be made prior to the first class meeting.
